The Practice

At Westmount Dental Surgery, our stylish, state of the art facility in Sunderland, we can provide a comprehensive consultation combing your wishes with proven techniques and technology to achieve the result you want. Having trained with leading dentists from all over the world, our team is fully equipped to provide an array of services as simple as bonding to reshape teeth, to complex procedures such as veneers, implants and invisalign.

We are open throughout the week and during evenings too to give patients the opportunity to arrange appointments around their busy lives. We are also open on weekends for specific treatments and we also provide anxiety management for nervous patients.

Providing Excellence

Modern dentistry is a fast moving field with new treatments, techniques and products being developed all of the time. At Westmount we are always striving to further the knowledge, facilities and services that we offer. Practice principal Dr Quraishi aims to provide the highest standards of care and the latest treatment techniques by committing to his own continuous learning. He is a member of British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, British Dental Association and the Association of Dental Implantology. He is currently completing masters courses in Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry and Dental Implantology.

All of our dentists are committed to continually improving their knowledge and undertake a set number of hours of continual professional development each year (CPD). We also perform regular clinical audits and take part in a thorough quality assurance programmes. All staff regularly participate in staff training and attend relevant courses. The appropriate bodies routinely check all equipment and we adhere strictly to the necessary guidelines.

Dental Emergencies

Our team have regular training sessions to enable them to cope in emergency situations but thankfully such extreme situations do not normally arise. There may be times, however, when you require out of hours emergency dental treatment and this will be carried out at the practice by one of our dentists.

For patients registered at our practice, we guarantee to see all dental emergencies within 24 hours and to offer same day emergency appointments whenever possible. If you have a dental emergency outside of practice hours, please telephone the practice and an answer phone will give you instructions.

For the Less Able

We have fully ramped disabled access to our practice, widened doors and three ground floor surgeries. We also have disabled toilet facilities and in our waiting rooms, we provide seating at different heights.

If you have any special requirements or are unable to use the stairs please let us know before your first appointment so that we can take care to accommodate your needs.

Once you are ready to leave the practice, and should you require a taxi, please just ask a member of staff and they will be happy to call one for you.

Complaints

Here at West Mount Dental Surgery we take complaints seriously. If you are not satisfied with our service please contact our practice, either by telephone or in writing. We aim to respond to all complaints within 7 working days. If, however, you are not happy with the response you receive you can contact the dental complaints service below.
